Telemetry now available for our WMF commercial coffee machines

16-Jun-2016 10:44:11 by WMF Marketing Team

As one of the leading events in the industry calendar, what better place than the Caffè Culture Show for WMF to unveil their latest in commercial coffee machine technology – telemetry!

The Caffè Culture Show is one of the UK’s biggest and most popular events.  Started in 2006, the event celebrated its 10th anniversary in May this year.  The venue was London Olympia where 200 exhibitors, including WMF, were on hand to show off their latest innovations and concepts.

Nearly 4,500 people attended the Show over the two days in May.  According to Upper Street Event’s survey, 79% of people attending the show were there to learn about new products and services, so the WMF staff were kept busy demonstrating the company’s telemetry technology for our commercial coffee machines!

How do Commercial Coffee Machine Telemetry Systems Work?

The WMF commercial coffee machine telemetry system works by transferring data wirelessly to a remote device.  This might be a PC, a tablet or even mobile phones. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are, you can still monitor your sales and other data such as cleaning cycles and ingredient throws.

As well as providing you with valuable data, the coffee machine telemetry alerts you to any system errors. The WMF technicians can amend your commercial coffee machine settings, install new software and remedy problems remotely. As you can imagine, the WMF staff were kept busy at Caffè Culture with existing and aspiring café owners and managers keen to see the telemetry system in action.

Caffè Culture Show Attractions

One of the show’s biggest attractions was the Business Theatre which hosted two different series of seminars. One programme, the Caffè Fundamentals, focussed on building a café business, while the Caffè Enterprise series dealt with funding, investment and brand-building.

The UK’s coffee roasting industry is growing, which is good news for UK coffee lovers.  The ‘Roasters’ Village’ showcased the best of the UK’s artisan coffee roasting companies.  Artisan foods were also celebrated at the event, and with tastings and masterclasses, the Caffè Culture show had something for everyone.
