The curtain has fallen on this year’s edition of Lunch – the UK’s largest trade show for the food-to-go industry – and WMF once again had a fantastic time showcasing our range of commercial coffee machines to buyers, decision-makers and other important figures within the sector.
This year’s show attracted more than 6,000 trade buyers, with an estimated 91% of attendees looking to source new and innovative product to take their business to the next level. Around 25% of those who attended were from the café industry (also including tea rooms, sandwich shops and coffee shops), with 16% of delegates coming from contract catering and 13% representing distributors and wholesalers. As these are our key markets here at WMF, it was crucial for us to make a great impression at Lunch, showcasing the very best of our products to these important figures.
Situated at stand M108, WMF chose this year’s event to unveil the brand new fully automatic WMF 5000S coffee machine in its all glory. With high throughput, wide-ranging drinks capability and a unique ‘Dynamic Milk System’, the machine dazzled guests from a variety of industries and has joined the ranks of the most popular WMF coffee machines we have to offer. Trade professionals from a multitude of industries and backgrounds expressed a real interest in our brand new machine, and we look forward to following up with attendees at a later date to ensure they get one of the very best coffee machines on the market.
We also took along our hybrid WMF Coffee Machine – the WMF espresso, an innovation which combines the functionality of an automatic bean to cup machine with the looks of a traditional espresso machines. As it has been since its launch in March this year, our fantastic hybrid machine was a real hit – the veritable star of the show at stand M108!
Delegates simply loved the versatility and stylish exterior of the machine – and with automatic tamping and grinding, space-saving bean hoppers, heatable cup storage and an eminently simple automatic cleaning function, it’s easy to see why this commercial coffee machine drew in the crowds! We also had Alex on hand to provide some entertainment and artistry. Alex is a talented barista who thrilled delegates with some fantastic latte art using our hybrid machine – so delegates could sup delicious, aesthetically beautiful coffee directly from our machines to get an idea of the quality on offer.
We look forward to attending more exhibitions next year and offering industry professionals the chance to see our array of commercial coffee machines in action!
